Royal Variety Performance Management & Production

The Constitution of the Royal Variety Charity details that its annual fundraising event, the Royal Variety Performance, is organised exclusively by the Life-President of the charity with assistance from the Chairman or Vice-Chairman. Both roles are voluntary and unpaid, but the Constitution dictates that they must be experienced and respected show producers offering their services for free.

The Constitution further details that the charity's elected offices of Chairman and Vice-Chairman are by default the elected officials for the Royal Variety Performance. They may also act as Executive Producers of the TV production should they so wish, but most importantly must work closely and in conjunction with the television producers to produce the best show possible for the charity and its beneficiaries.

The Life-President, with assistance from the Chairman or Vice-Chairman, is also responsible for the negotiation of television & production contracts, choice of venues, staging & ticketing of the show, and hosting the Royal guests of honour.
